DTF Printing Guide: How to Apply Your Transfers

1. Heat Press Settings

  • Temperature: 270°F
  • Time: 8 seconds
  • Pressure: Firm, consistent pressure
  • Peel: Hot or cold peel
  • Repress: 5 seconds with parchment paper

Press at 270°F for 8 seconds using firm, consistent pressure. Hot or cold peel, then repress for 5 seconds with parchment paper.

2. Peeling

Peel slowly and evenly for best results. Hot or cold peel both work with standard Legends DTF transfers.

3. Repressing for Durability

After peeling, repress for 5 seconds with parchment paper.

4. Washing

  • Wash inside out in cold water
  • Hang dry or tumble dry low
  • No bleach, fabric softener, or harsh detergents
  • Wait 24 hours after pressing before the first wash

Specialty transfers (glitter or glow) use different settings — check the product page. UV DTF is peel-and-stick for hard surfaces and does not use a heat press.
